PDF Viewers

myNextGear Capital's website requires:
  • Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.1 or higher.
  • You may need to download the appropriate version of Adobe PDF here: Get Adobe.
If acquiring the correct version of this software has been bypassed, it could lead to a few issues:
  • Unable to view titles
  • Unable to view Reports
  • Unable to view Receipts
On the other hand you may be able to view all three, if you already have a built-in PDF viewer. However, it may display what appears to be programming code and/or be formatted incorrectly.

Third-party PDF viewers must be disabled in the internet browser's settings and Adobe Acrobat Reader must be made default, otherwise issues will persist.

To disable a third-party PDF viewer in Chrome, enabling Adobe:
  • Type Chrome://plugins in the address bar and hit Enter:
  • On the Plug-ins page, scroll down until you see "Chrome PDF Viewer" Name and select Disable
  • Locate the Adobe Acrobat Reader Plug-In and select Enable.

To disable a third-party PDF viewer in Internet Explorer, enabling Adobe:
  • Go to Tools
  • Select Manage Add-Ons
  • Select Toolbars and Extensions
  • Verify that "All Add-Ons" drop down menu is selected
  • Locate the name of the third-party PDF viewer, and Select Disable
  • Locate the name of Adobe PDF Reader, Select Enable
To disable a third-party PDF viewer in Firefox, enabling Adobe:
  • At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Select the panel.
  • Find Portable Document Format (PDF) in the list and click on it to select it.
  • Click on the drop-down arrow in the Action column for the above entry and select the PDF viewer you wish to use.
  • Click OK to close the Options window
Note: If you want to view PDF files in Firefox using a plugin, instead of in an external PDF reader application, select Use PDF reader name (in Firefox).
